Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Special Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Special Care team at the Department of Health, Tasmania. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to neonates who require specialized medical and nursing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, quality, clinically appropriate nursing care to neonates in our Level 1 and Level 2 Special Care Nursery Unit.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in neonatal nursing.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment that fosters growth and learning.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in neonatal nursing, preferably in a Special Care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
