Capital Works Project Manager

We are seeking a Capital Works Project Manager to deliver complex projects on behalf of the Queensland Government.

The successful applicant will have experience in superintendency services for large building projects and extensive knowledge of building construction methodologies, technologies, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver major capital works projects through the Two Stage Managing Contractor form of contract.
  • Provide oversight and mentoring for staff performing Site Representative or Clerk of Works roles.
  • Act as a point of reference on buildability and on-site construction management within the project delivery team.
  • Ensure staff monitor quality and contract deliverables are achieved.
  • Participate in the review and improvement of operational effectiveness of quality assurance procedures.
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and negotiate on project matters.
  • Prepare complex documentation including briefs, reports, and submissions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of building construction methodologies, technologies, and materials.
  • Sound knowledge of building services and certification practices.
  • Experience in superintendency services for large building projects.

Benefits:

This role offers a 12-month contract with the possibility of a 12-month extension. The successful applicant will be based in Brisbane CBD.
