We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to spearhead capital works projects in South East Queensland. This critical role will oversee building construction and upgrade projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, including the ability to develop comprehensive project plans and assess various delivery options. They will also be responsible for coordinating risk, procurement strategies, value engineering, and lifecycle considerations, as well as engaging and managing consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with project briefs and statutory requirements.

Additional responsibilities include preparing tenders and overseeing commissioning, handover, and defect liability periods. The successful applicant will maintain accurate project documentation and reporting, providing transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in client-side project management for building construction projects;
  • A strong knowledge of contract administration and industry standards;
  • Qualifications in building construction or a related discipline;
  • A sound understanding of contract law and stakeholder responsibilities;
  • The ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage competing priorities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Confidence working within government policies and financial procedures.
