Job Opportunity

The NT Remote Locum Program is a workforce initiative dedicated to enhancing healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife/RN to deliver culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff in remote clinics.

This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered by us.

  • Full paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities.
  • Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
  • Free CPD-accredited e-Learning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
Key Requirements

Eligible candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Evidence of unrestricted registration as a registered nurse and registered midwife with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in midwifery.
  • Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a registered nurse.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
