Healthcare Specialist Required

Our organization is seeking a skilled healthcare specialist to provide acute medical support, clinical oversight, and continuity of care for residents in residential aged care facilities. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting after-hours telehealth rounds, updating medication charts, issuing prescriptions, and ordering investigations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct after-hours telehealth rounds for residential aged care facilities.
  • Provide acute medical support, clinical oversight, and continuity of care for residents.
  • Update medication charts, issue prescriptions, and order investigations as needed.
  • Manage and follow up on acute issues raised by facility staff.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA General or Specialist Registration
  • Experience in residential aged care or primary care settings
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
  • Confidence using telehealth platforms and electronic medical records
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach
