Job Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Dialysis Nurses to provide high-quality care in remote NT communities.

The NT Remote Locum Program is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander‑led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

About the Role

As a Dialysis Nurse, you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe dialysis treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. You will collaborate with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Requirements
  • Qualification/s and minimum 2 years of haemodialysis nursing experience.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Current National Criminal History Check (less than 6 months old).
  • Unrestricted driver's license (to drive in the NT).
  • Up-to-date immunisation status, including COVID-19 (2 doses + 1 booster), Hepatitis A & B, MMR, Varicella, BCG, Influenza, and Pertussis.

This role offers fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered by us. You will receive cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare. Free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is also included.
