Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Care Coordinator to join our team in our Radiation Oncology centre based in Darlinghurst. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will play a vital role in delivering best practice services and ensuring exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will have a minimum two-year post-graduate experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in oncology or a willingness to undertake training in Radiation Oncology nursing. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, empathy for patients and their carers, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team member.

About the Role

  • Provide high-quality patient care, meeting patients' physical and psychological needs.
  • Undertake direct patient care, including education, wound management, and drug administration, in accordance with Practice Protocol.
  • Effectively manage nursing patient load and facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services, physics, and radiation therapy staff.
  • Liaise with co-located St. Vincent's Campus - Private and Public Hospital nursing staff, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Ensure all patient listed events are documented, communicated, and actioned, maintaining procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
  • Comply with patient handover procedures and demonstrate reliability, motivation & flexibility.
