About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team in Darlinghurst. This is a part-time or full-time opportunity for an individual with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver best practice services in Radiation Oncology Nursing, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
  • Provide direct patient care, including education, wound management, and drug administration as per Practice Protocol.
  • Effectively manage nursing patient load and facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services, physics, and radiation therapy staff.
  • Liaise with co-located St. Vincent's Campus - Private and Public Hospital nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Minimum two years post graduate experience
  • Preferred oncology background/knowledge, training will be provided in Radiation Oncology nursing
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers
  • Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills, with commitment to continuing professional development
