About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to your team, ensuring the delivery of a cost-effective, professional, and customer-focused claims service.

This role requires strong leadership and customer service skills, with the ability to build and develop business relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for leading quality assurance activities, including audit results, data integrity, and process refinements.

To succeed in this role, you will need at least 5 years of insurance experience, 3 years of management experience, and a strong understanding of stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Ensure the claims team delivers exceptional Customer Service in a manner that upholds the SIRA Customer Service Principles.
  • Cost-Effective Claims Service: Ensure the delivery of a cost-effective, professional, and customer-focused claims service.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead quality assurance activities, including audit results, data integrity, and process refinements.
  • Tier 1 Activities: Lead Tier 1 activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives and prevent any recurring or systemic incidents.
  • Team Performance: Manage team performance in line with team targets and service level agreements.
  • Staff Development: Ensure appropriate team capability with effective recruitment and staff development planning.
Requirements
  • Insurance Experience: At least 5 years of insurance experience.
  • Management Experience: 3 years of management experience.
  • Skillset: Strong level of interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, excellent customer service skills, commitment to quality and accuracy, and ANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Claims or AQF Diploma of General insurance or industry equivalent (desirable).
