Speech Pathologist Job Description

Job Summary

Plena Healthcare seeks a skilled Speech Pathologist to provide high-quality mobile speech pathology services to adults living in residential aged care sites. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose client swallowing and communication difficulties
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs
  • Provide consultative and educational support to clients, their families, and colleagues
  • Liaise with organisational staff, support coordinators, and colleagues to ensure optimum care needs are met
  • Work closely with our national team of Speech Pathologists to share knowledge and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Professional qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Active membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Driver's license and reliable transport (travel requirements)
