We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to a Local Government Inspector and Inspectorate.
About the Role:
- This is a key position that requires exceptional communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level executive and administrative support, including diary management, correspondence coordination and preparation of confidential documents.
- You will manage correspondence and administrative workflows, monitor task progress and follow-up actions, and ensure information is handled in accordance with public sector confidentiality and recordkeeping requirements.
- This role also involves supporting governance processes by preparing, formatting and distributing agendas, minutes, briefing notes and other documents for internal and external meetings, inquiries, and stakeholder engagements.
- You will coordinate and prioritise requests and enquiries directed to the Inspector, including from the Minister's Office, the Department, and officers from the local government sector.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support effective communication, timely responses and accurate information exchange on behalf of the Inspector is also a key aspect of this role.
- You will assist with the coordination and processing of approvals, financial administration and purchasing in line with relevant procedures and delegations.
- Providing support in the use and maintenance of task tracking and workflow systems and contributing to the continuous improvement of executive support processes is also required.
- Other responsibilities include collating agenda, minutes actions and briefing papers for other meetings as required.
- This role also involves participating in the broader executive support network across the Department and supports transition planning activities associated with the establishment of the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety.

- Demonstrating the Expected Behaviours of the leadership context for this role is essential.
- This is a full-time role that may require travel for business needs and working outside standard hours as required.
