Job Title: Employment Consultant

This role involves providing ongoing support and mentoring to customers within our Disability Employment Services (DES) program.

  • Independently managing a diverse portfolio of clients living with mental or physical disabilities, which range in complexity
  • Regularly engaging with and supporting clients, both in-person and remotely
  • Collaborating with and referring clients to internal and external supports/services
  • Actively sourcing job opportunities for clients by networking with prospective employers and community organisations, and by utilising innovative marketing techniques
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and assisting them to address their barriers to employment, using a customer-focused approach
  • Mentoring clients on interview strategies and workplace expectations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a client-facing role
  • Experience working towards and achieving sales targets / KPIs, or similar
  • Exceptional communication and client service skills
  • Proven ability to engage with and motivate diverse stakeholders
  • Strong planning, coordination and time management skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously, with the support of a wider team
  • Genuine desire to make a real change in people's lives
  • Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to undertake / satisfy a National Police Clearance (criminal history check)
