Role of Community Engagement Specialist

The Co-Design and Engagement Branch is seeking a skilled Community Engagement professional to join their team in Hobart, Launceston or Devonport. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a great long-term federal contract with an initial 12-month period.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing an Engagement Framework, educating and informing mainstream services to improve participant experience, and maintaining local relationships with relevant stakeholders. You will also work closely with people with disability, their families, and carers using a nationally consistent engagement approach.
Key duties include:
- Providing clear, concise, and effective messaging to various stakeholders
- Representing the organization at external forums and events
- Managing the state engagement inbox and escalating enquiries and requests
Requirements include public speaking skills, intrastate and interstate travel, emotional intelligence, and Australian Citizenship. Experience living with disability is desirable.
