Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Specialist to join our team in Hobart. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with key clients in the public sector, supporting them in delivering community engagement processes that meet their strategic objectives.

The role reports to the Director and involves developing and implementing community engagement plans, maintaining operational systems and processes, and supporting digital platforms. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice to project teams on highly effective engagement plans
  • Maintaining and supporting project web pages and the community engagement register
  • Championing and contributing to the development of the strategic Community Engagement framework
  • Developing innovative engagement strategies to increase participation and connect with hard-to-reach groups
  • Liasing effectively with stakeholders to achieve a consistent approach to community engagement

To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring experience in Community Engagement and Communications, including:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing engagement plans and managing complex projects
  • Demonstrated experience working with online engagement platforms and CRMs
  • Excellent analytical and engagement systems skills

As our client grows in this area, you will have the opportunity to innovate and support clients across Tasmania with their Community Engagement projects.
