As RACT continues to create more value for Tasmanians, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as a Change & Communications Specialist.
The Change & Communications Specialist is responsible for coordinating and communicating major RACT business-wide changes and initiatives within Group Operations, while providing project management support for Group Operations-led projects.
The role combines change communication with project coordination responsibilities, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting the delivery of Group Operations initiatives to ensure successful adoption and embedment of operational improvements across frontline teams.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide project management support for Group Operations-led initiatives, ensuring delivery to scope, timeline and budget requirements.
- Work with key stakeholders within Group Operations to design, document and define business requirements and feed into project scope and delivery as required.
- Lead the delivery of project outcomes into Group Operations teams to ensure changes are adopted and providing expected benefits.
- Develop change management plans for projects and/or change initiatives that considers planning, implementation and embedment activities.
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate workshops where required to support the successful implementation and adoption of change activities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans that include activities such as delivery of targeted communication materials including briefings, updates, training materials, and FAQs to support change adoption across Group Operations.
- Coordinate change activities across Group Operations teams, facilitating smooth transitions and ensuring frontline staff are well-informed and supported throughout change processes.
- Support the documentation and communication of updated policies and procedures, ensuring changes are clearly communicated and understood across relevant teams.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change communication plans, gathering feedback and adjusting approaches to maximise engagement and adoption.
Successful candidates will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, change management, business administration, project management, or a related field.
- 3 years demonstrated experience in project and change management/internal communications, ideally within a customer-focused organisation.
- Strong understanding of change management principles and project management frameworks, including analytical skills with the ability to assess communication effectiveness and project progress.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences, from frontline staff to senior management. Demonstrate creativity in developing engaging communication approaches that resonate with different audiences.
- The ability to establish effective relationships across business lines and with key stakeholders.
- Experience in developing communication materials across various formats and channels.
