Job Title: Director, Environmental Conservation and Head of Australia Operations
Job Summary:
The Director, Environmental Conservation and Head of Australia Operations will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of environmental conservation programs in Australia, as well as managing the Australia office and its staff. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental conservation, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for environmental conservation programs in Australia
- Manage the Australia office and its staff, including budgeting and financial planning
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community groups
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the work of the organization
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and coordination of work in Australia with global programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in environmental conservation or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in environmental conservation, including staff management and budgeting
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed organization
Travel: Occasional travel within Australia and to the United States may be required.
Salary Range: $182,300 AUD - $203,700 AUD
