Executive Director of Engagement and Fundraising

The Executive Director of Engagement and Fundraising will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Birdlife Australia's fundraising strategy, community participation, and engagement initiatives. This role will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to refine the value proposition to members and supporters, and to contribute to the future sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve ambitious targets
- Lead a team of specialists in fundraising, participation, and engagement
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to refine the value proposition to members and supporters
- Contribute to the development of performance and fundraising metrics to ensure the future sustainability of the organization
- Build and execute strategies to engage with volunteers and membership bases
- Proven leadership experience at a senior executive level, with a strong track record in fundraising and engagement
- Strong understanding and experience in developing and implementing community engagement strategies
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector, preferably within conservation or environmental organizations
- Knowledge of Australian biodiversity and conservation issues
- Relevant degree in Communications, Marketing, Community Development, or a related field
