Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our Wellbeing, Health & Safety team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in promoting safer work practices and enhancing wellbeing across the Pacific Region.
Key Responsibilities- Accident Prevention and Risk Management: Provide expert advice on accident prevention, hazard identification, and risk management across multiple sites.
- Proactive Risk Assessments: Conduct proactive risk assessments and inspections to identify and address unsafe conditions.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with Wellbeing, Health, and Safety Committees, providing regular updates on safety activities and legislative changes.
- Inspections and Evaluations: Manage inspections, evaluate safety equipment, and implement safety procedures across sites.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate serious incidents and liaise with leadership, HR, and regulatory officers on rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct routine safety inspections, ensure continuous improvement in WHS processes, and participate in audits.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related field.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in WHS advisory roles with a strong understanding of legislation and best practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and advise effectively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex situations.
- Autonomy and Collaboration: Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across various departments.
- Driver's License: Current driver's license and willingness to travel between work sites.
