About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Project Manager to join our team at AUSGRID. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing advice and support to design, develop, and implement our Health and Safety Management Systems, Strategy, and Health and Safety projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Management System (HSMS): Maintain and review the HSMS, and support the development and implementation of HSMS policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team and drive improvements in safety performance, achieve organizational targets, and handle day-to-day team operations, including timesheet approvals, leave management, and training.
  • Compliance and Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage timely outputs from assurance activities, and contribute to the Health and Safety Assurance Plan and associated tools.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in the development, design, and provide guidance on the implementation of the organization's HSMS policy, procedures, standards, tools, forms, and associated materials.
About You

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in managing high-profile strategies, projects, or programs, with a proven track record in developing comprehensive project plans, managing timelines, milestones, issues, and risks, and reporting.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Risk Management, Engineering, Project Management/coordination, or related area, or equivalent experience.
  • A high level of experience in the application of risk-based WHS management principles as well as designing and continually improving H&S management systems.
  • Significant experience in Workplace Health and Safety or Project Management in a medium to large organization within high-risk industries.
