Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Six Degrees Executive Full time

A high-performing Accountant/Analyst is sought to provide detailed support to the accounting department at Six Degrees Executive. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in accounting, a degree in Business Administration and/or Accounting, and a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare/input journals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage payroll administration, including inputting weekly/monthly payroll data, preparing journals for wages and superannuation, and updating salary increases.
  • Provide compliance support by preparing and importing journals for WorkCover and payroll tax, lodging payroll tax returns, and managing superannuation returns.
  • Conduct year-end payroll reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Administer HR files, including reviewing new employee files, updating wage data, and managing salary sacrifice agreements.
  • Process subcontractor payments, including setting up and maintaining HR and Translogix files, preparing subcontractor invoices, and processing payments.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including inputting creditor coding data, reviewing invoice reconciliations, and processing payments.
  • Provide high-level analysis and support as needed, using Excel and other tools to drive business decisions.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in accounting
  • Qualifications: Degree in Business Administration and/or Accounting, CPA preferred
  • Strong Excel and MS Suite skills, with experience in in-house accounting systems (Translogix ideal)
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering accurate results
  • Strong team-focused attitude and excellent communication skills
