Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial & Digital team in a key leadership role. As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for advising and assisting the business on financial and management accounting measures, ensuring informed decision-making and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Production of monthly management reporting, including variance analysis, annual budgets, and forecasts in conjunction with the business.
  2. Building strong working relationships with cost centre managers and Heads of departments, establishing trust and fostering effective communication.
  3. Serving as the conduit between cost centre managers/Heads of departments and the wider finance team, facilitating seamless collaboration.
  4. Liaising with cost centre managers to ensure adequate cost control and accurate reporting.
  5. Providing financial leadership and accounting support to cost centre managers and Heads of departments.
  6. Supporting the Commercial and Digital departments with ad-hoc financial modelling and analysis.
  7. Contributing to project working groups with project accounting, forecasting, and reporting as required.
  8. Presenting various financial results and analysis as needed.
  9. Partnering with stakeholders to upskill and educate the business on financial processes and general business acumen.
  10. Supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner – Commercial with tender and new business proposal management.

Requirements

  • Tertiary level Accounting qualifications and post-graduate qualifications (e.g., CPA/CA).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an Accounting role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Melbourne, VIC (with flexibility to work remotely)
