Care Support Specialist

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and skilled Care Support Specialist who is dedicated to providing exceptional support to older adults in their own homes.

This role requires a flexible individual who can work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality care services.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for supporting choice and independence, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support older adults to maintain and improve their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social health and wellbeing
  • Undertake activities of daily living, domestic tasks, and activity support
  • Follow and contribute to the customer's care plan
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support the wellbeing of customers
  • Maintain and ensure completion of all documentation, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Assist customers to live a good life
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR
  • COVID-19 vaccinations (including booster, if eligible)
  • A Police Check for unsupervised contact/vulnerable groups less than 12 months old upon commencement
