We are seeking a Support Care Specialist to provide vital assistance to individuals in their homes or Residential Care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming) while ensuring comfort and privacy. Follow care plans based on residents' specific needs to improve their quality of life.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
  • Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to foster social interaction and mental well-being.
  • Health Monitoring: Report any changes in health or behaviour to the office team.
  • Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments or social events.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in individual support (Disability/Aged care)
  • 1 year or more experience is desirable
  • Bilingualism is also desirable but not necessary
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Empathy, patience, and respect for the individuality of those you care for
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with care teams
  • Understanding of aged care and disability issues
  • The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required)
  • A current National Police Records Check, dated within the last 3 months (or willingness to apply)
  • A Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply)
  • A NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
  • A current SA driver's license and reliable Vehicle
  • Minimum of 2 doses COVID 19 Vaccine
