Job Title: Academic Educator in Speech Pathology

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Speech Pathology discipline, teaching and coordinating undergraduate courses.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in speech pathology, with experience in teaching, research, and coordination. The position involves providing high-quality academic education in speech pathology, as well as contributing to educational research and scholarship.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing academic leadership in speech pathology, developing curriculum and assessing student learning outcomes
  • Coordinating and teaching interprofessional courses, delivered to all disciplines within Health Sciences
  • Continuing to build a research portfolio, producing quality research outputs and publishing in reputable journals
  • Engaging in and contributing to administrative and service activities within the School of Health Sciences, as well as the wider College and University

The lecturer will be located primarily at the Callaghan Campus, with a full-time position requiring 70% teaching, 20% research, and 10% service. To be successful, you will have completed or be progressing towards finishing a PhD in Speech Pathology and currently hold or be eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.

Additionally, you should have experience with face-to-face, hybrid, and online teaching models, as well as knowledge of contemporary practices and adult caseloads. Experience or an understanding of the Australian Healthcare System is also desirable.

About You

You will be an experienced educator with a strong background in speech pathology, able to demonstrate interdisciplinary experience that can contribute to coordination and teaching into interprofessional and Work Integrated Learning courses.

We offer a remunerative package of $112,717 - $133,853 + 17% superannuation, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
