Steward Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Steward Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of the stewarding staff, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchens, cool rooms, and equipment.

About the Role

This is a supervisory position that requires strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene procedures, Occupational Health & Safety procedures, chemical usage and storage, and HACCP standards. You will be responsible for training colleagues in quality and service standards, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment to perform their role.

  • Supervise the stewarding staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
  • Oversee daily functions to maximise productivity while maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Train colleagues in quality and service standards
  • Assist with the set up of functions, maintain chemical standards, and prepare stocktakes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a stewarding role
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene procedures and practices
  • Occupational Health & Safety procedures
  • Chemical usage and storage
  • HACCP standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Natural problem solver
