Senior Lecturer Job Opportunity

About the Role:

The University is seeking a skilled Senior Lecturer to join our team in a part-time opportunity. As Deputy Lead CCP, you will work closely with the National Lead of the CCP Domain to develop and deliver curriculum and assessment across the MD program.

This role requires strong leadership, organisation, and project management skills, with experience in curriculum design, delivery, and/or assessment in medical education. You will also need excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills to interact effectively with a range of academic, clinical, administrative, and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the development, coordination, and implementation of the CCP domain curriculum in the national MD program.
  • Leading the implementation of the CCP Domain Fremantle MD Program, including managing and training clinical skills medical educators and tutors.
  • Working with other Domain Leads, Assessment and Medical Education Unit teams, and academic staff to ensure CCP learning objectives are suitably assessed and integrated with other domains.
  • Developing and marking examinations by writing and standard setting assessment questions, developing clinical examination stations, and marking assessments.
  • Cordinating and managing clinical exams (OSCEs) in Fremantle across the 4 years of the MD Program.
  • Providing administrative leadership of the CCP Domain team in Fremantle.
  • Carrying out teaching duties in accordance with the University's teaching policy as required.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Possession of a medical degree registrable with AHPRA and one of a Fellowship qualification in Medicine, Health or Medical Education OR a PhD, OR equivalent experience and standing in a relevant discipline area of more than 5 years.
  • Experience in evidence-based clinical skills teaching and delivery at Masters level or higher or in medical, health or professional practice based education settings.
  • Well-developed leadership, organisation, and project management skills, with experience in organising and running clinical and OSCE examinations desirable.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with a range of academic, clinical, administrative, and technical staff.
