Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled academic professional to join our team as a Senior Lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, assessing student performance, and providing administrative leadership.
  • The role involves working closely with the National Lead of the Clinical Communication and Professionalism (CCP) Domain to develop, coordinate and deliver CCP curriculum and assessment across the MD program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Synthesise and apply knowledge of best practice in medical education to inform curriculum development.
  2. Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to enhance student outcomes.
  3. Maintain accurate records and reports related to teaching and assessment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possession of a medical degree registrable with AHPRA and one of a Fellowship qualification in Medicine, Health or Medical Education OR a PhD, OR equivalent experience and standing in a relevant discipline area of more than 5 years.
  • Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and/or assessment in medical education, preferably in the health context and in a tertiary setting.
  • Well-developed leadership, organisation, and project management skills, with experience in organising and running clinical and OSCE examinations desirable.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with a range of academic, clinical, administrative, and/or technical staff in a complex environment.
