Job Overview

The Finance Support Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the service deliverables of the FSS team, providing leadership, guidance and support to team leads, supervisors and members to standardize processes.

This role involves direct supervision of 25-30 team members, working closely with various stakeholders across Faculties and Divisions in conjunction with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Help Desk teams for daily transactional processing.

About the Role
  • A combination of relevant tertiary, professional accredited accounting qualification and experience is required. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a mature shared service environment within a large organization, providing actionable operational advice and guidance in coordinating and delivering financial services in a complex structure.
  • Advanced financial acumen and expertise to assess, develop and embed sustainable financial controls within the processes in the FSS team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the service deliverables of Finance Support Services (FSS).
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to team leads, supervisors and team members to standardize processes.
  • Work closely with the wider stakeholder community.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership experience, advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
