Quantity Surveyor Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial and physical performance of projects, driving value from suppliers and internal resources, and maximizing project profitability.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of project specifications, pricing structures, programs, and contractual conditions
  • Reviewing and assisting with client/main contractor contract documentation
  • Assisting other departments with pre-start planning and programming
  • Managing supplier/subcontractor commercial management, including variation accounts and processing requests for payment

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business growth. They will also be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.

Regular travel to construction sites across the UK is required, with occasional overnight stays. A legal right to work in the UK and immediate availability are essential requirements.
