Senior Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work on various projects, including the design of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.

About the Role
  • We require a structural engineer with a minimum of 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices, as well as relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • They will also have experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects and a commitment to working safely within our HSEQ systems.
Your Skills and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering
  • Knowledge of risk management and ability to identify project and design-related risks
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences
