Senior Water Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations and conveyance pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and prepare design requirements for water and wastewater treatment plants and associated infrastructure
  • Conduct site investigations and perform calculations and modeling to ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
  • Oversight of drafting and preparation of reports and specifications
  • BUILD STRONG CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS AND DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND OUR CLIENT'S CORE BUSINESS
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences
