About the Role

The YMCA WA is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Program Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people and contribute to the development of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of young people aged 12-25.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure effective outreach and support.
  • Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations to inform service delivery and improve outcomes.
  • Provide individual support and case management services to young people, including referrals and information.
  • Prepare and contribute to funding and social impact reports as required.
  • Assist young people in building their capacity and developing positive lifestyle skills.
  • Provide advocacy, information, and referral support to young people.
  • Develop and implement activities that promote cultural awareness and social inclusion.
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field.
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications or willingness to obtain.
  • National Police Clearance and WA Working with Children check card or willingness to obtain.
  • Significant experience in outreach, youth work, and individual support.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing activities, workshops, and groups for young people aged 11-25.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and ability to relate to and build relationships with a variety of young people and stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the issues young people face and referral pathways and services.
  • Ability to work autonomously to achieve set outcomes.
  • Well-developed written skills and computer literacy, including Excel.
  • High standard of professionalism and integrity.
