Job Summary

The Chief Tax Officer ANZ will be responsible for leading all tax matters in Australia and New Zealand under the guidance of the Global Tax Director. This includes ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations, meeting reporting requirements, and implementing tax planning initiatives to optimize Unilever's tax position.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations in Australia and New Zealand, as well as experience in managing cross-border transactions and transfer pricing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide tax advice to the business on strategic decisions and transactions
  • Lead the preparation and submission of tax returns and reports
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
  • Maintain relationships with tax authorities and regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate tax accounting and compliance

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in tax management, preferably in a multinational corporation
  • Advanced degree in law or taxation
  • Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand tax laws and regulations
  • Experience in transfer pricing and cross-border transactions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
