We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Financial Operations Officer to join our team in Sydney. This role offers a unique chance to be part of our epic growth story and contribute to the success of one of Australia's top eCommerce companies.

About the Role

As Chief Financial Operations Officer, you will lead and manage the Finance Operations (FinOps) team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.
  • Supervise the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, deductions, and taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for financial submissions and reporting, including tax filings, regulatory reports, and statutory audits.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and boost team efficiency.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CPA or CA with 10 years of financial and management accounting experience.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify issues and suggest solutions.
  • People management experience, with remote teams being desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, insightful, timely reporting.
  • Experience in a retail environment accounting for inventory is ideal.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other online accounting software is highly desirable.
