System Designer

We are seeking an experienced Systems Designer to join our growing engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in system design, product integration, and stakeholder support.

This position involves hands-on technical and collaborative aspects of engineering, contributing to innovative solutions that meet client and business needs.

The Opportunity

  • Deliver system design and product integration activities, including support for testing and commissioning.
  • Support new product introduction by working with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop system solutions to meet client requirements (e.g. solar sizing, interfaces, electrical parameters).
  • Maintain and improve existing systems by identifying and resolving defects.
  • Contribute technical expertise during tenders and proposals.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, test plans, and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, quality, and project managers to meet objectives.
  • Stay current with industry standards and regulations (e.g. FAA, ICAO, IALA).
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities across engineering processes.
  • Occasionally travel to client sites or global offices as required.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, with eligibility for registration under relevant professional engineer acts.
  • 3+ years' experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end product or project design.
  • Ability to interpret electronic and mechanical documentation.
  • Experience with 2D drafting packages.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Critical thinker, confident decision-maker, and resilient problem-solver.
