Job Description

The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF) and demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design.

The key objectives for this role are:

  • Designs, develops and tests mechanical systems, components, and products
  • Provides technical guidance, leads design reviews, and ensures technical quality and compliance with standards
  • Fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Is a problem-solver — analyzes existing systems, identifies problems and develops solutions
  • Ensures designs meet specifications, are cost-effective, reliable, and have a low environmental impact
  • Collaborates with other engineering disciplines, such as process and E&I, to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Contributes to design review workshops and quality checks
