Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Design Lead to join our team. This role will involve providing key electrical engineering input to projects and coaching junior staff.

The successful candidate will lead HV (Secondary) design for transmission & distribution projects, develop technical documentation, and utilize knowledge of primary substation elements, transmission lines, underground cables, and power system earthing design.

  • Leading HV design and coordinating with various disciplines.
  • Developing and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Supporting high voltage scope for Owner's Engineer and Technical Due Diligence projects.
  • Reviewing designs and reports.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Typically 8-14+ years' post-graduate experience ideally in a consultancy environment.
  • Existing RPEQ/RPEV or the ability to attain it is required.
  • Experience in EHV and HV electrical engineering from conceptual to detailed design.
  • Proven experience in secondary design, including protection, control, AC/DC systems, SCADA, and related studies.
  • Familiarity with testing and commissioning support activities.
