UI Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled UI Manager to oversee the design system for a core service used by Australians. This role involves collaborating with the UI team, Head of Design, Product & UX Leaders to ensure consistency across digital products and services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a new design system
  • Uphold UI strategy and design standards for the team
  • Work closely with cross-functional product teams throughout development
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in UI/Product Design roles
  • Direct management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of design processes, methodologies, and systems
  • Experience designing complex systems with high content
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to partner with other areas of the organisation

This role requires an impressive digital portfolio demonstrating web design expertise and strategic thinking.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UI principles, design best practices, and the ability to lead a team. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to collaborate effectively with others. You will need to be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally, and be able to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
