Director of a Child Care Centre

The Director is responsible for leading and directing the childcare team to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care services. This involves providing strategic direction, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the childcare team to achieve excellent outcomes for children and families;
  • Develop and implement operational policies and strategies that meet the needs of the centre and adhere to regulatory requirements;
  • Manage performance and provide effective supervision to staff to ensure high-quality service delivery;
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to promote the centre's programs and services;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of national regulations and quality standards for education and care services;
  • Leadership and management experience in a child care setting;
  • A current first aid certificate and asthma and anaphylaxis management training or willingness to obtain.
