Job Title: Activity Leader

Salary: £7.55-£12.21 depending on age and experience

Hours: Tuesday-Thursday

Reporting to: Club Manager

Location: Lindfield, West Sussex

Overview:

As an experienced Activity Leader, you will be a central part of the team, responsible for delivering engaging and fun activities at the Afterschool Club for children in our care.

You will lead all aspects of the club, including activity delivery, during high-tea and transition times. You will be an excellent role model and meet the standards required to deliver high-quality childcare.

Key features:

  • Ensure children are happy and engaged in their activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children
  • Build effective relationships with children and colleagues
  • Lead a range of activities for children of all ages
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Attend regular training and development sessions
  • Deputise for the Club Manager when necessary

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Education and Welfare or Club Manager, your duties will include:

  • Supporting your club actively
  • Leading various activities independently for children of all ages and abilities
  • Supervising and leading outdoor play
  • Leading holding activities
  • Managing high tea
  • Collaborating with HEWs and Club Managers:
  • Understanding club timings and helping resolve issues
  • Leading first aid incidents when necessary
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of safeguarding and prevent policies
  • Planning activities with differentiation
  • Aligning with the Pioneer Curriculum and our values
