Your New Role

The classroom teacher plays a key role in facilitating effective learning and teaching. The teacher collaborates with colleagues to put student learning and wellbeing first.

Essential Criteria
  • Understanding of and commitment to the ideals of education.
  • Demonstrated expertise as a classroom practitioner
  • Demonstrated expertise as a specialist language teacher
  • Appropriate qualifications
  • A demonstrated capacity to align practice with a Positive Behaviour for Learning model of student support.
  • Knowledge of pedagogy, content and technology
  • Inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture
  • Willingness to participate in staff professional development in partnership with the College
  • Capacity to teach Religious Education (RE) is an advantage
  • Must hold a relevant Working with Children registration and Teaching Accreditation
  • Must have completed relevant Education/Teaching tertiary qualification
