Your New Role

The classroom teacher is the primary in-school influence on student achievement and plays a key role in facilitating effective learning and teaching. Essential Criteria
  • An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education
  • Demonstrated expertise as a classroom practitioner
  • Demonstrated expertise as a specialist language teacher
  • Appropriate qualifications
  • Ability to align practice with a whole-school Positive Behaviour for Learning model of student support
  • Mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge
  • Informed understanding of inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture
  • Willingness to participate in staff professional development in partnership with the College
  • Willingness to contribute to the KLA team in curriculum understanding and application
  • Willingness to take on co-curricular activities
  • Capacity to teach Religious Education (RE) is an advantage
  • Must hold a relevant Working with Children registration and Teaching Accreditation
  • Must have completed relevant Education/Teaching tertiary qualification
  • Must meet requirements to teach Religious Education according to Work, Teach and Lead Policy
