Capital Projects Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Capital Projects Specialist to support the development and evaluation of infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will provide commercial and financial advice concerning project development and evaluation, as well as conduct research and analysis to support early-stage project development.

  • Provide commercial and financial advice on project development and evaluation
  • Conduct research and analysis to support early-stage project development, including business case proposals and feasibility studies
  • Support procurement and contract management for consultancy and advisory activities
  • Analyze local and national infrastructure construction sectors to inform infrastructure policy development
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving business unit capability
Key Responsibilities:

Commercial and Financial Advice:

  • Provide commercial and financial guidance on project development and evaluation
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business case development
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with project development
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, business, engineering, or relevant construction-related fields
  • Experience working in a consultancy firm and/or government agency to plan, develop, and deliver new construction projects
  • Understanding of government budget, policy, and procurement processes

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)
  • Experience working with stakeholder engagement and communication
