Capital Infrastructure Financial Coordinator Role

The Business Support Unit provides administrative and financial management support to program and project delivery teams within the capital infrastructure program. In this role, you will be responsible for managing program and project budgets and schedules, overseeing financials, facilitating relationships between internal and external stakeholders, and managing staff to undertake financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets and schedules across the capital infrastructure program, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee financial reporting, governance, and accountability for a program of infrastructure projects.
  • Facilitate relationships between internal and external stakeholders, including finance managers, directors, and project managers.
  • Lead staff to undertake financial tasks in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate program financial information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Improve the efficiency of financial processes and budgeting.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing and reporting budgets associated with a capital infrastructure program.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships involving executive staff, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in leading staff to undertake financial tasks.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting practices.
  • Experience in delivering process improvements.

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Ability to facilitate positive working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to implement financial strategy.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software such as SAP and/or Technology One.
  • Background in construction or capital works.
  • Valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license.
