Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to work on complex projects, develop skills and experience in conducting routine maintenance and repairs.

  • Perform technical inspections and classify vehicles.
  • Repair or replace worn parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
  • Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts.
  • Carry out minor body repairs and trim repairs.
  • Test and repair electrical systems including lighting, ignition and fuel injection.
  • Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates.

Required Skills:

Key Requirements

  • Certification III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent qualification.
  • Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated heavy vehicle experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspecting, repairing and maintaining light, medium and heavy vehicles.
  • Current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License required.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
