Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Security professional to support our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in ACF2/RACF security architecture and Unix in z/OS.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Working effectively with the Regional and Global Security team
  • Adhering to customer and corporate standards and responsibilities
  • Participating in the creation of documentation such as process and procedural documentation
  • Taking the lead in developing process improvement
  • Administering security policies to control access to systems
  • Working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Participating in vendor and platform upgrades
  • Managing SSL Certificates in Mainframe environment
  • Completing cyclic compliance activities
  • Performing ACF2/RACF application and agency level access control to meet access management business requirements to ensure compliance with industry and federal government security standards
  • Available for off-hours escalations as 2nd and 3rd tier of on-call support
  • Serving as a technical liaison and subject matter expert in business interactions
  • Providing 'level 3' support and problem management guidance for the platform team and escalating issues to vendors/manufacturers for technical support as needed
  • Participating in audits

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in Cyber Security
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Mainframe security
  • Strong knowledge in ACF2/RACF security Architecture
  • Sound working knowledge of Unix in z/OS
  • Sound working knowledge of NetMaster/MAI and SOLVE
  • Experience with JCL, SAS, Clist and/or REXX
  • Experience with CICS/IMS/DB2/MQ a plus
  • Understanding of ADABAS
  • Knowledge of CONTROLM processes
  • Experience in Mainframe certificate management
  • Experience in upgrades
  • Experience with working with Auditors – specifically SOX AND SOC1
  • Working knowledge of Ticketing Systems – preference is SNOW
  • The candidate should be comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite of tools; Excel experience is essential
  • Understanding of Essential 8 standards
  • Quick learner and showing interest in learning new technologies
  • Have a solid understanding of best security practices

Qualified candidates must currently hold or be able to gain Australian Federal Government Security Clearance at Baseline.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Technical expertise in Mainframe security architecture
  • Extensive knowledge of ACF2/RACF security software
  • Strong understanding of Unix operating system
  • Proficiency in NetMaster/MAI and SOLVE
  • Hands-on experience with JCL, SAS, Clist, and REXX programming languages
  • Background in CICS/IMS/DB2/MQ (desired)
  • Understanding of ADABAS database management system
  • Knowledge of CONTROLM processes
  • Certificate management experience in Mainframe environment
  • Upgrade experience and ability to adapt to changing technology
  • Auditor experience and familiarity with SOX and SOC1 guidelines
  • Experience with ticketing systems, preferably SNOW
  • Excel proficiency and Microsoft Office skills
  • Compliance with Essential 8 standards and adherence to best security practices
