Enterprise Mainframe Security Specialist

This role requires a skilled professional to oversee the security of multiple client mainframes, adhering to customer and corporate standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Mainframe security, a strong understanding of ACF2/RACF security architecture, and proficiency in NetMaster/MAI and SOLVE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Regional and Global Security teams to ensure the security of multiple client mainframes.
  • Comply with customer and corporate standards and responsibilities to maintain the integrity of the mainframes.
  • Contribute to the creation of documentation such as process and procedural documentation to ensure compliance with industry and federal government security standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the security of the mainframes.
  • Administer security policies to control access to systems and ensure compliance with industry and federal government security standards.
  • Address complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Participate in vendor and platform upgrades to ensure the mainframes remain secure and up-to-date.
  • Manage SSL certificates in the Mainframe environment to ensure secure communication.
  • Complete cyclic compliance activities to ensure the mainframes remain compliant with industry and federal government security standards.
  • Perform ACF2/RACF application and agency level access control to meet access management business requirements and ensure compliance with industry and federal government security standards.
  • Be available for off-hours escalations as 2nd and 3rd tier of on-call support to ensure the mainframes remain secure at all times.
  • Serve as a technical liaison and subject matter expert in business interactions to provide guidance and support to clients and colleagues.
  • Provide 'level 3' support and problem management guidance for the platform team and escalate issues to vendors/manufacturers for technical support as needed.
  • Participate in audits to ensure the mainframes remain secure and compliant with industry and federal government security standards.
