Job Opportunity: Strategic Team Leader

The Carer Gateway National Counselling Service provides a vital platform for carers across Australia to connect with experienced and compassionate counsellors, reducing stress and isolation while improving wellbeing.

The Carer Gateway Online Community offers a secure and anonymous online space for carers to share their experiences and support one another, fostering a sense of community and connection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise teams to deliver high-quality service aligned with carer needs and program goals
  • Monitor and maintain service quality through intake assessments, referrals, case management, and forum moderation
  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring compliance with sector requirements, organisational standards, legislation, and policies
  • Oversee operational, clinical, and corporate governance with a focus on risk management and escalation procedures

This role is suited to a dynamic leader with a hands-on approach, a systemic mindset, and a focus on quality in service delivery, as well as a passion for supporting carers, communities, and the workforce.

Requirements:
  • Industry-relevant experience in coordinating services and supporting individuals and teams to deliver client outcomes
  • Strong understanding of intake assessment and case management practices, with knowledge or training in counselling
  • Relevant program-specific qualifications, expertise, and professional membership (e.g., AASW, ACA, PACFA)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Strong organisational skills, including critical thinking and prioritisation
