The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Event Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of internal and external events, including event operational and project plans, budgets, event schedules and programs, risk plans, run sheets, resource requirements and stakeholder consultations.
Main Responsibilities- Responsible for the successful delivery of internal and external events.
- Prepare and provide event operational and project plans, including budgets, event schedules and programs, risk plans, run sheets, resource requirements and stakeholder consultations.
- Identify and manage operational support and logistical requirements, including floor plans and layouts, budget, liaising with venue operators and key stakeholders to manage event requirements before, during and after assigned events.
- Work with colleagues, partners and suppliers to negotiate and secure quotations within budget and timeframe.
- Contribute to and develop event and marketing communications in collaboration with Marketing and Sales team to promote events effectively, as well as to manage events registrations and data analysis for reporting purposes.
- Provide training and guidance to event staff and volunteers to ensure a high standard of event delivery and operational efficiency.
We are looking for a candidate with relevant qualification in events management, proven experience in event planning, event operations and logistics, risk management and compliance, budget management and financial accountability, and stakeholder liaison management. The ideal candidate will also have fluency in Auslan, excellent attention to detail, and ability to follow established processes and contribute to process development.
