Job Description

The AHS Supervisor plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to residents while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resident Care: Ensuring high-quality, person-centered care to residents, addressing their medical, physical, and emotional needs.
  • Staff Supervision: Leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
  • Care Planning: Overseeing individual care plans for each resident, considering unique health requirements and preferences.
  • Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
  • Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.

As an experienced Aged Care professional, you will have a strong understanding of Aged Care accreditation standards, comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC, and expertise in medication administration and wound care. You will be able to lead and manage a team, provide exceptional care to residents, and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in Aged Care and leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills in medication administration, wound care, and care planning.
  • Strong understanding of Aged Care accreditation standards.

Desirable Qualities:

  • ANNAC accreditation.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
